As a member of the US Peanut Shelling sales team within Golden Peanut, this role will primarily be responsible for the design and execution of the hull & fiber byproducts sold from the US Shelling plants. This role will work closely with the operational planning and plant teams to manage supply and connect to a value creation sales strategy accessing customers across the feed and energy sectors. This role will also gain exposure to peanut sales in managing a number of small peanut accounts to support the overall US Shelling strategy.
Responsibilities:
Manage the shelling byproduct position, balancing operational needs to vacate product with value creation strategy to maximize profitability for the business.
Align weekly and daily shipments to support changing operations plans
Manage customer relationships to ensure continued value driven offtake within a volatile supply environment.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics execution to support the business
Daily communication with operational planning and plant teams to manage inventories and production schedules, connecting this back to the broader US Sales team.
Manage numerous small peanut sales accounts with a hunting/prospecting mentality, working to build new GP customers, and support management of overall inventory across the peanut network.
Job Requirements:
3+ years of experience as account manager, business development, sales, or position management
Self-starter and intrinsically motivated to deliver - don't stop until the job is done mentality.
Strong analytical capabilities, initiative and problem-solving skills necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrate capacity to evaluate and manage risk, along with understanding of how to conduct professional sales calls with customers and prospects.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook and Excel
