Reliability Project Lead - Decatur, IL

Position Summary: The Reliability Project Leader is responsible for driving innovation, suggesting and implementing continuous improvements, and solving high-complexity problems through maintenance process analysis, failure analysis, Six Sigma projects, FMEA application, and other maintenance management tools. The role requires a deep understanding of maintenance routines to propose improvements that simplify these processes. He will oversee predictive and sensitive maintenance disciplines.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the implementation and execution of maintenance strategies.
  • Lead improvement projects in the maintenance area to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Innovate and solve chronic and high-complexity problems in maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and facility integrity.
  • Manage lubrication contracts, predictive maintenance analysis, and sensitive maintenance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate root cause analysis meetings and FMEA studies.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability.
  • Consult with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, external consultants, and operational professionals to bring solutions and innovations to the department.
  • Participate in engineering development discussions to align reliability plans with new project installations.
  • Proficient in control systems like Maximo or similar, and skilled in Office Suite. Familiar with failure analysis methodologies (Apollo, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
  • Communicate, present, and defend maintenance projects with senior leader and pears.
Position Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. Post-graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive experience over 7 years in maintenance practices, concepts, and applications .
  • Skills: Strong teamwork, leadership, interpersonal skills, initiative, creativity, results orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: Relevant licenses and certifications as preferred.
