Regional Utilities Reliability Lead

An opportunity has arisen for a Regional Utilities Reliability Lead to provide technical direction and governance for all critical utilities systems across EMEA. This role ensures consistent reliability standards, robust maintenance strategies and effective lifecycle decisions for boilers, CHP/turbines, compressed air, cooling, water treatment, and utilities distribution networks. It supports plants with complex failures, leads technical assessments, and builds capability across engineering and maintenance teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • To lead define, maintain, and enforce reliability and maintenance standards for utilities assets.
  • Lead/support failure analysis, bad actor elimination, end-of-life assessments and recommending capital maintenance priorities.
  • Provide SME-level troubleshooting support for major utilities incidents and recurring issues.
  • Coordinate SMEs within the Utilities technical centre.
  • Review and validate technical aspects of utilities-related projects and shutdown readiness.
  • Conduct utilities reliability assessments and drive standardization across plants.
  • Lead the Utilities Reliability technical centre and coordinate SMEs for boilers, CHP/turbines, and utilities systems.
  • Ensure alignment with regional maintenance teams and clear RACI with Operations and the Sustainable Operations Technical Centre.
  • Train and coach site teams to strengthen technical capability and proactive maintenance practices.
Your Profile

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Comprehensive experience in utilities, power generation, and reliability/asset management roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with boilers, turbines/CHP, or other major utilities systems.
  • Solid understanding of PM, PdM, CM strategies and lifecycle asset management.
  • Experience conducting RCAs and leading technical reliability programs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across multiple plants and cultures.
  • English fluency required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% regionally.
