Your Responsibilities


Position Summary

To lead and manage the overall P&L of Feed Additive & Ingredient (FAI) business in India - drive nationwide sales and revenue growth and overall market expansion. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall sale and marketing strategy, build and lead a high performing team and ensure sustained growth plans for in the Indian market. The role requires strategic leadership, sound technical and deep industry knowledge of feed additives and ingredients and strong customer and distributor network and a good track record and experience of managing a high performing team and in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling important strategic key accounts.

Strategic Sales leadership:
  • Responsible for driving the overall FAI P&L, develop and execute pan India sales and ensure sustained revenue growth with adequate margins all in alignment with ADM's growth plan.
  • Identify growth opportunities across all species segment - Poultry, Dairy, Aqua and Swine and build and grow the overall FAI portfolio
  • To optimize sales forecasting, margins and cost structures for competitiveness in the market and ensure long term sustainable growth and profitability.
Business Excellence:
  • To drive both direct and local business opportunities in India.
  • Develop and execute the GTM strategy and drive the FAI business growth across all species and customer segment with a clear defined roadmap of growth through assessment and implementation of both organic and inorganic route with the senior and global management.
  • Drive product pricing & margins for all category of customers and distributors and with alignment with India AN business head and other related business functions.
  • Responsible for all Key Mega Accounts, expand overall customer base and grow and manage distributors region wise to improve business footprint in India.
  • Assess new products opportunities, collaborate with global/regional product managers and CD&D team and launch and grow product sales that are relevant to the Indian market.
  • Collaborate with other support functions - technical services, marketing, operation, supply chain, finance to support Indian business plans.
  • Direct and implement the annual marketing plan and distributor business plan
Team Management:
  • To develop and lead a high performing and customer centric sales team, mentor & provide adequate training, ensure adherence to compliance, foster a culture of integrity, accountability and ownership of business
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) - volume/turnover growth, gross margins, operating profits and overall market share.
  • Setting of sales targets and travel plans in line with budget, conducting regular sales reviews and customer follow ups and overall promote a performance driven culture.
Market Intelligence:
  • To develop and monitor in depth market intelligence, track competitor activities and pricing, follow and align with all necessary regulatory development.
  • Provide regular market development and feedback to regional and global management required for business decisions.
Key performance indicators:
  • Sales and revenue growth and margins.
  • Team setup.
  • Customer & distributor network and regional expansion.
  • New product trails and launches.
  • Services to support business.


Your Profile:

Qualifications:
  • University graduate - B. Tech/B.E./B.Sc. in relevant disciplines (Agriculture, Veterinary or related technical fields)
  • PG: MBA or equivalent postgraduate management degree from Premier Institute will be a value addition.
  • Working Experience: Minimum 18-20 years of sales and leadership in feed additives, animal nutrition
Core Competencies:
  • Strong track record of team management, fostering strong customer relationships, developing distribution network and building overall business.
  • Deep understanding of feed additives, feed formulation and livestock and or aquaculture nutritional requirements.
  • Understanding of local regulatory compliance in feed additives.
