Regional Assistant & Supply Chain Manager - Spokane, WA

This is a salary exempt level position.

Position Summary:
The ADM Milling Spokane and Cheney, WA region has an opportunity for the right candidate to become part of the Commercial team offering a variety of responsibilities and challenges. Areas of concentration will include the scheduling of manufacturing, assist in logistic coordination of mill inbound grain, products, and by-products. Relationship management with the local operational and quality teams, customers and suppliers will be a major focus. As well as learning underneath a Commercial Manager to strategically think on growth opportunities, projects, profit and loss analysis and go-to-market strategy. A strong candidate will be a team player who strives to be a continual learner, and leader within in the Milling organization with great critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.

The candidate will be responsible for all areas of supply chain and sales and operations planning at the Spokane and Cheney, WA Mills. The position requires extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite along with other ADM support systems. Daily involvement and interaction with operations and quality staff is critical for success.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Key decision maker for Commercial Supply Chain
  • Responsible for monthly p/l analysis along with other Mill Stakeholders
  • Procuring and executing bulk truck, rail and packaging lines
  • Track grain movements of inbound rail and wheat truck scheduling
  • Decision making authority along with Mill Commercial Manager
  • May have direct report(s) related to Supply Chain activities (dependent on Mill)
  • Work closely with centralized customer service on customer orders
  • Responsible for Go To Market Strategy for Mill and Free to Sell
  • Monitor inventories of flour, wheat, ingredients, and by-products and make timely and coordinated decisions
  • Be available off shifts and weekends to receive calls if needed
  • Strive to maintain the safest work environment possible
  • Assist in local wheat procurement
  • Participate in daily operation reviews
  • Key Team Member to implement sales and operation planning
  • Responsible for Readiness Mill initiatives to drive overall growth and strategy

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, supply chain management
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, MS Outlook
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet specific deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills with desire to be a team member
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • High performer with initiative to learn other responsibilities
