Quality & Food Safety Specialist - Animal Nutrition (France)

Temporary position - 6 months

Based in France / Vannes

Job Summary

The Quality & Food Safety Specialist - Animal Nutrition (France) is responsible for overseeing quality and food safety activities within the organization. The role ensures compliance with internal standards and external regulations while driving continuous improvement. The incumbent will also coach, support, and influence teams to achieve operational and business objectives.

This position reports to the Quality & Food Safety Director EMEA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with assigned facilities to ensure consistent implementation of quality systems and programs
  • Support the deployment and follow-up of quality and food safety action plans
  • Contribute to strengthening food safety standards and promoting a strong food safety culture across teams
  • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation activities, including HACCP-based approaches
  • Provide on-site support (Gemba walks) to ensure compliance with standards and procedures
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Feed Science, Food Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in the food/feed industry (animal nutrition preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of FSMA and food safety systems, including HACCP
  • Familiarity with local regulatory standards (RCNA, GMP+, FSSC 22000, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence, coach, and drive change
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Up to 50% travel required, including overnight stays
  • Fluency in French and English required
