As Laboratory Technical, this person is responsible in performing NIR analysis and chemical analysis as prescribed in the Work Instruction Manual and operate laboratory equipment according to the Equipment's Operation Manual. This person is responsible to monitor trend of analysis and report any deviation to the Laboratory Supervisor.
Your Responsibilities:
Assess and segregate samples for analysis based on the quality control plan.
Conduct required wet chemistry analysis and mycotoxin analysis of raw material, finished product and special samples according to procedure laid down in the work instruction manual.
Check accuracy of result using the quality control sample from ring trial test or internal QC sample.
Plot result of quality control sample in a chart and monitor the trend.
Report to Laboratory Supervisor if trends are outside the set limit.
Prepare reagents, conduct standardization and monitor expiry date of prepared solution.
Record clearly all data of analysis, chemical preparation and standardization in the designated logbook for traceability.
Conduct daily monitoring and calibration of analytical balance, top loading balance and rapid moisture analyzer
Input wet chemistry results in the updated laboratory template
Reports results and create certificate of analysis of all special samples from prospect suppliers.
Submit updated mycotoxin report after every test performed.
Prepare internal quality control sample and conduct the needed test. Report results to laboratory Supervisor
Conduct monthly inventory of glassware, chemicals and laboratory consumables. Inform Laboratory Supervisor on items with critical inventory and initiate the requisition process.
Monitor expiry date of chemicals and facilitate its disposal.
Maintain record of any defect and repair/maintenance conducted on laboratory equipment, reception of labware and chemicals and breakages
Maintain updated work instructions of all methods applied in the laboratory.
Maintain record of all chemical waste used in the analysis for third party disposal.
Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.
Monitor temperature and humidity of wet chemistry room and equipment.
Perform basic troubleshooting if there are malfunctions in the equipment. Report to Laboratory Supervisor.
Follow proper turn-over work.
Analyze incoming raw materials and finished products using NIR machine.
Your Profile:
A graduate of B. S. Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering or any applied science course.
Licensed Chemist/Licensed Chemical Technician.
Experience in laboratory operation is an advantage but fresh graduate may qualify.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft application (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Can work with minimum supervision.
Flexible and can do multi-tasking job.
Willing to work in shifting schedule.
With good moral character.
The job requires to work in shifting schedule and weekend work if necessary.
