The Job

The Production Supervisor plays a key leadership role, oversees the daily activities of safety, quality, and production, and leads employees in all production procedures during the shift. As a mentor to hourly employees, you will nurture and develop talent as you work with both contractors and ADM colleagues to ensure everyone has the training and resources necessary to perform their tasks safely and effectively.

Your Responsibilities

• Be the first person responsible for safety and environmental protection of the post and the work content for which they are responsible. Study and comply with safety and environmental protection related laws and regulations, company systems and

operating procedures, and fulfill the safety and environmental protection production duties and job safety and environmental protection production responsibilities stipulated by law in their work.

• Shall receive education and training on production safety and environmental protection, master the knowledge of production safety required for their jobs, understand the risk factors, precautionary measures and emergency response to accidents that exist in their workplaces and jobs, improve their production safety skills, and enhance their ability to prevent accidents and deal with emergencies.

• In the course of their work, they should strictly implement their responsibilities for job safety and environmental protection,comply with the safety and environmental protection production rules and regulations and operating procedures of the

organization, obey the management, and correctly wear and use labor protective equipment.

• If you find any hidden safety and environmental protection accidents or other unsafe factors, you should report them immediately and comply with the company's safety observation, attempted accident and accident reporting system.

• When discovering emergencies that directly jeopardize personal safety, they should stop work or evacuate the workplace after taking possible emergency measures. Reject unauthorized direction and forced risky operation.

• Execution and compliance with provisions of the company Quality and Food safety management system, GMP regulations, Legal and regulatory requirements, learn and master ADM food safety culture and knowledge.

• Holds Safety paramount and fosters a culture in which safe or we don't do it.

• Models best practices and ensures compliance with plant safety systems and policies

• Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies

• Engages with operators and tasks to ensure potential hazards are recognized and mitigated or eliminated. Re-iterates mindset of "We do I safely or we don't do it."

• Performs safety focused audits to pro-actively identify and remedy hazards or gaps in safety processes.

• Develops, updates and reviews SOPs for routine activities and more complicated non-routine job tasks.

• Develops, updates, and approves ESLP modifications and improvements.

• Provides resources, knowledge and coaching to ensure that front line operators and leadman have tools to safely and effectively perform job tasks.

• Assists production manager in investigating and administering discipline for safety violations.

• Leads the Operation of the plant to meet KPIs and SQE Expectations.

• Effective communicator of plant goals and objectives to the operations team.

• Daily engagement with routine and non-routine tasks

• Provides direction, planning and action items to shift leads to allow for equipment

• Be taken out of service and locked out for maintenance

• Be unlocked, checked out and returned to service

• Promotes effective flow of information and needs between front line operators and maintenance team to quickly troubleshoot and remedy issues.

• Coaches shifts on review and response process to ensure timely and effective resolutions to Red KPIs

• Makes decisions to steer the plant when process upsets occur back to plant goals

• Takes calls outside of normal work week to provide direction and assistance for the plant to meet production needs.

• Provides coaching and discipline for Operator Job performance issues.

• Conducts Daily Review and Response for critical SQE reports and deviations.

• Provides communication and direction to front line operations for material handling needs.

• Develops schedule for operators and ensures adequate manpower is available for work assigned.

• Take responsibility for operators and contractors to ensure their safe work and follow the SOPs, achieve KPIs.

• Report to the Production Manager of Starch Sugar in the Starch and Starch Derivatives Division of China Region.

Your Profile

• Working experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is preferred.

• Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of logical analysis under pressure.

• At least 3-5 years of working experience in the corn starch, corn starch deep processing, or other agricultural processing industries.

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Engineering or related majors; relevant work background may appropriately relax the requirements.

• Familiarity with starch sugar production processes is preferred.

• Familiarity with production information systems, such as Maximo, is preferred.

• Prior work and management experience in relevant production workshops is preferred; familiarity with ISO9000, HACCP, and production management knowledge is preferred.

• Familiar with the latest food safety regulations.

• Good communication skills.

• Production management experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in office software, such as Excel and Word.

• Good organizational and communication skills, as well as self-motivation ability.

• Possessing certain basic English reading and writing skills.
