Position Summary:

Coordination of all departmental activities required to meet company manufacturing, customer service, financial and safety objectives. Primary scope is daily execution of the production schedule and employee leadership. Recognized owner of assigned departments.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Takes the leadership role in all aspects of production and operation of the assigned production unit.
  • Ensures all Department activities are conducted under company safety, quality, GMP and regulatory (USDA, Kosher, etc) guidelines. Reviews all appropriate documentation.
  • Promotes safety, sanitation and organization on a daily basis.
  • Tracks, corrects and communicates daily (and overall) productivity efforts and metrics.
  • Directly supervises hourly employees in assigned departments.
  • Fully understands the operation and flow of all processes and equipment in those areas..
  • Schedules activities and resources to meet the daily Production schedule and ensure the best possible customer service.
  • Schedules and ensures training for all Operators as necessary.
  • Tracks adherence to all Eatem Personnel Policies and departmental procedures.
  • Know all aspects of AS400 system associated with their department.
  • Provides immediate root cause analysis to assist in correcting all quality, yield, and other deviations.
  • Gives input for annual performance reviews of all reports.
  • Promotes Teamwork and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the Operations department.
  • Leads morning Departmental directional meeting.
  • Meets with and administers corrective actions regarding job performance and attendance.
  • Manages employee time sheets and vacation approvals.
  • Communicates any staffing needs with Production Manager.
  • Participates in Daily Directional Setting Meeting.
  • Schedules maintenance of existing equipment with the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensures Quality and HACCP procedures are followed by all reports.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing other duties and assignments as required.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) or above preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience in flavor, & food production;
  • Supervisory experience preferred. Proven leadership skills
  • Self-motivated desire for continuous improvement
  • Computer experience
