Alongside the other Senior Team Leader, this role focuses on supporting members of the production team across two facilities to achieve business objectives, with direct responsibility for the GMP-compliant manufacturing of our products. Working closely with the Production Manager, the role involves overseeing scheduled production activities, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards, and optimizing the utilization of teams and resources to drive efficiency and performance.
Your Responsibilities
Develop the team to use lean tools such as (5Y / DMAIC etc).
Deputize for the Production Manager in their absence.
Identify opportunities for improvement within the organization (E.g. improve efficiencies / reduce waste).
Support the Production Management team with taking improvement ideas and delivering them.
Develop cross functional relationships to help enhance team working.
Cover other Team Leaders across the various shifts from time to time. (For example - Sickness / Holiday / Training).
Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions.
Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools.
Support Operations by playing an active role in Performance Excellence.
Assist in the recruitment process.
Conduct investigations where necessary (E.g. safety, quality, performance, and conduct issues).
Your Profile
Experience of managing and motivating a team is essential.
Mechanical/machine operative background and sound knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement techniques.
Formal qualifications in lean/continuous improvement are not essential but could be beneficial.
Ideally candidates will have worked within a GMP regulated facility or similar (BRC, ISO9001, BETA NOPS).
