A Production Operator runs and monitors manufacturing machinery to produce goods, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety by feeding materials, performing checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining records, ensuring output meets specifications and deadlines. Key duties include machine setup, operation, minor repairs, quality control, inventory management, cleaning the work area, and strict adherence to ADM safety protocols and like GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for stating, stopping, and running production machinery according to procedures and schedules.
Monitors different processes, perform checks, identify defects, and remove faulty products in alignment with Quality procedures.
Performs routine equipment checks, basic repairs, and replenish raw materials.
Observes equipment for malfunctions, adjust settings for efficiency, and report issues to maintenance lead.
Maintains accurate documentation using production logs and quality records.
Performing routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and replacing consumable parts according to established schedules
Adjusting machine settings and calibrating equipment for precision output during product changeovers.
Follows all safety guidelines (OSHA, GMPs) and keep the workspace clean and organized.
Support production by loading/unloading machines, managing inventory, and preparing goods for shipment.
Position Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is typically the minimum requirement. Technical certifications or vocational training or experience in manufacturing or industrial technology are increasingly preferred.
Strong mechanical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents, such as SOP, and production schedules.
Identifying unusual sounds, vibrations, or leaks that indicate potential failure and diagnosing minor mechanical or electrical issues
Ability to stand for extended periods (often 8+ hours) and lift heavy loads (commonly up to 55 lbs).
Adjusting machine settings and calibrating equipment for precision output during product changeovers.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial settings.
Position may involve working with chemicals or Light machinery.
Requires adherence to strict production targets and timelines.
