Production Operations Shift Leadperson, Des Moines, IA
The Operations Leadperson has active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility. The position works closely with the production employees and oversees the general production training for new employees. Sets the example for culture by exemplifying ADM principles. Understands and follows company policies and procedures pertinent to the role.

Job Description

  • Active, hands-on involvement and daily presence within the facility, responsible for shift performance
  • Ensure the production schedule is followed daily
  • Issue production batch tickets
  • Work with office personnel to ensure production process is complete before shipping
  • Help with trouble shooting issues with batches, yields, and bagging problems
  • Help in production when needed
  • Monitor the workplace for improvements and safety concerns
  • Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completed
  • Responsible for participating and managing record keeping, safety, quality and production related activities
  • Provide feedback and direct observation of operator performance
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
  • Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing experience, or proven proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift and tow motor safely
  • Must have proven proficiency in most aspects of the production/warehouse facility
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. on a routine basis
  • Must have a valid Iowa driver's license
