Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor with a strong focus on Environment, Health & Safety (EHS). The role is structured around 70% production activities and 30% EHS responsibilities. The successful candidate will initially concentrate on supporting and optimizing production and safety operations, with the opportunity to grow into a broader management role in the future.

Mission:

Ensure effective and efficient production planning and coordination of resources across departments, maximizing production efficiency while maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards. Daily presence on the shopfloor is critical to foster a strong safety culture, ensure operational excellence, and provide immediate support and supervision to production teams.

Main Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities and lead operational teams through consistent shopfloor presence and engagement.

• Drive and support EHS initiatives and compliance.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external partners.

• Operate and optimize plant management software (Promtek).

• Monitor and analyze key production and process metrics to ensure smooth and safe operations.

• Manage raw material supply and production scheduling requirements.

• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks promptly and effectively.

• Maintain a daily routine of operational walkthroughs to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.

• Train, coach, and enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production and safety; continuously review and improve SOPs.

• Ensure timely completion of administrative and reporting tasks.

• Record, monitor, and address production downtime and maintenance issues.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across production and control areas.

• Promote a strong "Safety First" culture throughout operations.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 certificate.

• A tertiary related qualification will be advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management systems (Promtek preferred).

• 10 years' experience in the feed, premix, or related industries, OR 5 years in a similar supervisory role.

• Experience in production planning and team leadership.

• English proficiency, both written and spoken.
