Your Responsibilities

• To review and assess existing production processes and workflows.

• To identify potential process safety and efficiency improvements and liaise with relevant stakeholders in terms of recommendations and taking forward the improvements.

• To 'finetune' production processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing associated methods and equipment.

• To rectify production and equipment problems as and when required.

• To analyse plant and process data/metrics.

• To identify key cost parameters for the business and identify opportunities where cost reductions are possible.

• To assist in preparation of capital proposals/projects and the interface between production and engineering.

• Identify possible new suppliers and trial processing of raw materials to ensure wide supplier base.

• To liaise with production management to co-ordinate and arrange work/projects that require plant shutdown.

• To report and action on any health, safety, environment, quality or hygiene related faults, failures and non-conformances, ensuring the process is operating in compliance with legislative & ADM guidance on Health, Safety and Environment, Quality, HACCP and GMP and any other relevant policies or procedures.

• To ensure work is completed in compliance with all ADM H&S and TPS standards (considering aspects such as Risk Assessment, IPPC permits, Work Orders, LOTO, etc)

• To work closely with Production Operators in terms of the production process, providing training and guidance where required and producing supporting documentation or SOP updates.

• To maintain lines of communication on process issues between various departments to ensure production is not compromised including safety, production management, production operators, maintenance, Logistics, commercial, quality and relevant operations centres of excellence.

• Utilising appropriate ADM software such as MAXIMO & WAVE.

• Actively looking for continuous improvement opportunities and efficiency improvements on site whilst contributing to and supporting the Performance Excellence work at Erith.

• To act as a key member of production management team, attending relevant meetings, representing the site as and when required, supporting departmental managers in problem solving or ad-hoc projects and supervising the plant (including occasional out-of hours support) if needs occur.

Your Profile

• Educated to degree in an engineering (or related) discipline with a strong affinity to the process industry.

• 1-3 years' post graduate experience working with process plant/manufacturing operations.

• A good understanding of Health & Safety in a production environment.

• A strong affinity towards continuous improvement.

• Proficient in the use of MS Office
