JOB TITLE: Formulator

DEPARTMENT: Technical Department

REPORTS TO: Technical Director

LOCATION: Murtede, Portugal

MISSIONS

Internal formulation of premixes, complementary feeds, and calf milk replacers
Preparation and management of internal product documentation - Technical Data Sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, ERP product registration, and labels
Ensure compliance with legal requirements for animal nutrition, including product composition and labelling
Preparation and management of documentation for product registration dossiers
Serve as the interface between the Formulation and Production teams for formulas and labels
Actively participate in quality audits and the Feed Safety Team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

University degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field
Experience in Animal Nutrition (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience in feed or premix manufacturing (preferred but not mandatory)

SKILLS

Technical skills

Strong understanding of animal nutrition processes: formulation, production, commercial strategy, quality control, health, etc.
Practical knowledge of animal nutrition
Project management capabilities
Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of formulation software is a plus

General skills

Good communication abilities
Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of French and Spanish is an asset
Team-oriented and collaborative personality, able to work effectively with various departments (production, quality, formulation, procurement, regulatory, commercial, etc.)
