Compensation : $95,000 - $136,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Plant Controller to join our Ag Services & Oilseeds team at our Windsor, Ontario facility. This is an exciting opportunity to serve as the primary financial partner to plant operations in one of ADM's key oilseed processing facilities.

In this role, you will act as the critical link between Operations and Finance, partnering across Operations, Accounting, Procurement, Performance Management, and Finance to drive financial performance and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be deeply embedded within plant operations, providing actionable insights, optimizing working capital, and ensuring disciplined financial execution.

What You'll Do
  • Own full-site financial performance and serve as the key finance voice in daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reviews
  • Lead monthly close processes, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear operational storytelling around key financial drivers
  • Provide financial insight into plant management through detailed analysis of manufacturing costs and variances
  • Identify risks and opportunities impacting operational performance and develop mitigation strategies
  • Analyze and explain drivers including yield, energy and chemical consumption, upset loss, downtime cost, and operational efficiency metrics such as OEE
  • Review plant costs and allocations across finished products to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Lead inventory governance across raw materials, work in process, finished goods, and coproducts
  • Improve processes addressing operational pain points including usage tracking, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation
  • Partner with stakeholders to optimize railcar utilization, spare parts management, and storage capacity
  • Lead financial evaluation of capital projects including ROI, payback, and risk analysis
  • Support plant engineering and department supervisors in the purchasing process and ensure proper execution of PO and receiving processes while monitoring GRNI
  • Ensure timely capitalization of projects and appropriate write-offs of abandonments in accordance with ADM policies
  • Develop performance metrics and strategies for continuous improvement of supply chain activities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving within the plant leadership team
  • Support financial reporting through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and assist with internal and external audit processes
What You Bring
  • Strong ability to influence operational decisions using data-driven insights and financial expertise
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven leadership in inventory control and plant financial management
  • Strong cost accounting knowledge within high-volume, continuous process manufacturing environments
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organization
  • A proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7-10+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems is considered an asset
