Packaging Lead Person - Ashburn, GA

This is an non-exempt level position.

Initial schedule will be 4 on 2 off rotating with no Sundays. Eventually will move to 7 days a week rotating all 4 shifts and will include $1.50 more an hour shift differential. Must have open availability.

Position Summary:
  • Coachable, Motivated individual with Initiative to continuously improve
  • Under limited supervision, lead a group colleagues to accomplish tasks in the Packaging Department.
Job Responsibilities:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills (1-2 years in a leadership role preferred)
  • Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record.
  • Maintain a good attendance record.
  • Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays
  • Maintains good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers)
  • Maintain production rates
  • Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and ensures that required sanitation duties and paperwork are completed as required.
  • Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.
  • Continuously monitors and adjusts equipment for optimal performance and quality
  • Review quality control documents and make necessary adjustments
  • Perform Food Safety/HACCP/Quality Control checks and document
  • Complete assigned paperwork accurately
  • Perform maintenance and sanitation on machines as required
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
