Packaging & Material Handling Operator - Dodge City, KS
Job Summary:
Responsible for operating packing and material handling equipment to safely and efficiently load, move, and transport bulk and semi-bulk materials. This role includes loading semi-bulk trailers, supersacks, and railcars; operating various vehicles and equipment; and accurately completing required documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate packing and bagging equipment according to safety and quality standards
Load, unload, and move semi-bulk trailers
Load, move, and handle supersacks safely
Load and unload railcars with bulk materials
Operate semi trucks, Trackmobile, and forklifts
Perform material transfers and positioning as required
Complete all required paperwork, logs, and shipping documentation accurately
Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience operating packing equipment and material handling machinery
Ability to operate a forklift, semi truck, and Trackmobile (certification preferred)
Knowledge of bulk material loading procedures
Basic computer and paperwork/documentation skills
Strong attention to safety and detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and move materials as required
Work Environment:
Industrial or plant setting
Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor conditions
Requires standing, walking, and operating heavy equipment for extended periods
