Operator/Office Clerical - Bluffton, IN

JOB DESCRIPTION - This position is responsible for supporting plant operations, wherever deemed necessary. Potential tasks would be varied and will likely change on a day-to-day basis, whether that be through hands-on production assistance, reconciling monthly inventory, assisting with weekly payroll, ensuring cleaning schedules are maintained, or backfilling the office manager's responsibilities as needed.

POTENTIAL TASKS
  • Assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed
  • Ensure full traceability of product codes, lot numbers, locations, and expiration dates by following established protocol
  • Provide monthly inventory guidance, reviewing and reconciling book to physical count valuations
  • Process weekly payroll for hourly colleagues per corporate payroll schedule
  • Create, complete and close production records accurately and in a timely manner
  • Generate PO requests for ingredients and expense items, coordinating with company buyers to secure and maintain necessary inventories
  • Prepare, code and enter A/P voucher requests related to fixed payments, PO-generated invoices, and freight charges
  • Scan, sort and electronically file documents relating to safety, environmental, and inventory compliance.
  • Support Sales and Customer Service teams in providing quality service to customers, suppliers, and fellow colleagues
  • Provide proper documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and trucking invoices as needed to various recipients
  • Arrange freight for outbound LTL loads and warehouse locations and assist with dispatch duties when necessary, ensuring a healthy balance between unit capacity and cost savings
  • Continually assess inventory to ensure proper stocking, product availability, and timely delivery to customers.
  • Utilize available tracking resources to accurately order inbound product and materials when required
  • Analyze available data on a daily basis and make informed decisions accordingly
  • Become proficient in software as applicable (primarily Oracle, Sharepoint, and Teams)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture and to understanding/following all company safety protocol
  • Exhibit consistent, prompt attendance and have access to reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook
  • Oracle/Word knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as possess strong math aptitude
  • Flexible and willing/able to multi-task
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional attitude at all times
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and excellence in all aspects of the position
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through with multiple tasks, taking direction from multiple sources
  • Determination to troubleshoot and identify appropriate resources to resolve concerns before they become issues or complaints
  • Familiarity with accounts payable methodology
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is preferred
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Must be dependable, ethical and professional
SCHEDULE
  • This is an hourly position. Shift is primarily days M-F but must be willing to work over (and possibly occasional weekends) if needed.
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently on given assignments while remaining flexible enough to work within team setting.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT
  • All PPE will be provided by the plant.
