Office Clerk - Richmond, TX
This is a full time, non-exempt position.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated full time employee for our cottonseed processing office in Richmond, TX. The clerk position will work with other clerks and management in the office to provide customer service, logistics support, general accounting and general office support functions for Richmond, TX facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for balancing inbound and outbound shipments to verify inventories
  • Support corporate and regional accounting staff with information and data requirements
  • Provide courteous customer support for any inquiry or settlement issue
  • Assist in payroll data entry
  • Provide general office support and back up support for vacations, illnesses, etc. as directed by management
  • Manage inventory reports
  • Manage plant logistics reports
  • Reach out to customers to resolve vendor issues with unclear tickets
  • Request new vendors and process vendor payments
  • Responsible for organizing and filing of records, and records management program
  • Special Projects as directed by management
  • Assist merchandisers with contract and systems questions
Job Requirements:

  • A strong spirit of teamwork and cooperation and a proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, vendors and protect confidential information
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime during the busy seasons of the year
  • Must have previous experience operating multi-line phone system and general office equipment and competency in Microsoft Office
  • Must maintain a professional presence and demonstrate strong customer service skills
  • Experience with Agris or JDE accounting software helpful but not necessary
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and planning skills required
  • Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate reliability
  • Independent decision making and problem solving skills with the ability to develop solutions in a logical and systematic way
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Physical requirements: Extended periods of sitting, walking, bending, twisting, carrying light loads, keyboarding
