The Opportunity:

This leadership role is a key position within ADM China's Human Nutrition business. The National Sales Director will focus on the flavor business across all application areas, with a strong emphasis on the Beverages segment. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated sales force, manage the flavor business, and drive growth across CPG and Food Service channels.

Reporting to the General Manager China, the role involves shaping and executing business strategies, identifying new opportunities, delivering customer-centric solutions, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Growth and Strategy
    • Achieve business targets, including topline and pipeline objectives for the China Flavor business.
    • Collaborate on the development and execution of strategic plans to expand market presence and capitalize on new business opportunities.
    • Maintain a forward-looking view of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform strategy.
  • Customer and Market Engagement
    • Build and nurture long-term strategic relationships with key customers across CPG and Food Service sectors.
    • Secure and grow existing business while ensuring accurate sales forecasts.
    • Actively pursue opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and deliver added value.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Lead sales planning, budgeting, and key account management processes.
    • Ensure smooth logistics and customer service operations to meet business and client needs.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including CD&D, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory, to provide tailored solutions and meet customer expectations.
  • Market Intelligence and Innovation
    • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer activities, and competitor strategies to guide strategic planning and support marketing and business growth initiatives
    • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities and aligning internal capabilities to deliver creative solutions.


  • Your Profile:
    • Education:
      • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field; advanced education in sales or business administration is a plus.
    • Experience:
      • 15+ years of experience managing key accounts, preferably in the food ingredients sector, with strong knowledge of the beverage and food industries.
      • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally within the flavor industry, with established relationships with key customers.
      • Experience working with multinational companies and managing large accounts is highly desirable.
    • Skills and Attributes:
      • Proficiency in English to operate effectively in an international working environment.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
      • Highly motivated, responsible, and passionate about driving results.
      • A proactive and independent approach to tackling new challenges.
