Within the Portfolio Management Team of ADM's Global Ocean Freight Department you will have the following tasks:

  • Assessing, maintaining and monitoring of EU ETS and Fuel EU exposure of Shipping activities
  • Reconcile and allocate EU Emission Allowances (EUAs) internally as well as externally
  • Procure EUAs spot
  • Give advice to internal Ship Operators on discrepancies with external counterparts on EU ETS and Fuel EU calculations
  • Communicate with external counterparties, e.g. Owners, Brokers, Emission Authorities
  • Maintain and observe Emission Trading Accounts with competent authorities
  • be part of projects on potential software solutions and/or enhancements in this field
  • assist in daily freight and fuel position reconciliations and reporting
What you bring:
  • Successfully absolved Apprenticeship or Traineeship in Shipping (Liner or Tramp)
  • At least 1-3 years work experience
  • Knowledge of EU's Emission Trading Scheme and Fuel EU regulation
  • Dedicated skill in using of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • General IT/Software affinity
  • Extensive communication skills, both written and verbal in English, other language is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Structured, accurate and swift way of working
  • Highly motivated
  • Must be comfortable working independently, as well as, part of a team
