Your Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. The purpose of the role is to undertake maintenance duties within the multi skilled maintenance team. Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards in safety and efficiency, following Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental guidelines. The role will be night-shift based across Monday- Friday and will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• To undertake and promote Safety & Health requirements in accordance with Company and Site procedures, programmes and targets.

• To work within Company and site quality and hygiene standards for food safety.

• To maximise efficiency and minimise production disruption and downtime.

• Fault finding on plant equipment with a view to resolving breakdowns resulting in production interruptions and issues.

• Contribute to solutions for electrical/engineering/production problems, implement modifications and improvements as required to maintain optimum plant performance.

• Involvement with projects and initiatives as directed by the maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

Your Profile

  • NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Completion of a timed served electrical apprenticeship
  • Good Mechanical skills, Knowledge of pneumatics, bearings and gearboxes
  • Fault finding on panel control systems / motors / drives / inverters and control relays
  • Time served apprentice
  • Recognised electrical engineering qualification
  • Demonstrable, electrical & mechanical experience & knowledge in areas not covered by formal qualifications
