Job Summary

The Maintenance position is an hourly position and is responsible for the safe performance of regular maintenance and repair duties. Responsible for supporting daily operations of the production facility to ensure high quality and efficient work while demonstrating a positive and inclusive culture at the facility. Work hours are subject to change to meet business needs, extended hours during shut downs as well as call-in work is an expectation. The Maintenance position will support the production facility with preventive and predictive maintenance while using independent judgement. Will support the maintenance department and staff.

Facility Expectations
  • Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are met.
  • Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.
  • Work with other colleagues to effectively communicate maintenance & production issues.
  • Participate in morning toolbox, shift exchange/review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.
  • Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues.
  • Required to work overtime as specified by management.
  • Attend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned.
  • Support the implementation of PE principles and standards to your work area and work processes when it is rolled out to the facility
Work Duties
  • Meet or exceed KPI goals as set forth by management
  • Coordinate maintenance activities and materials to complete all necessary tasks for the shift.
  • Responsible for participating and managing record keeping, safety, quality, and production related activities, including daily R&R metric reporting.
  • Ensure in-process metrics (e.g. reactive vs. proactive maintenance) are maintained to target across working days
  • Use and lead problem solving tools such as 5Y to identify root cause of production, quality issues and implement corrective / preventative actions.
  • Use ADM computer programs including Microsoft programs, Sphera and Maximo.
    • Help develop and maintain the facility maintenance program in Maximo.
    • Once implemented, Perform daily work in the Maximo (CMMS) system including, but not limited to update work hours, work order comments, complete & close work orders
  • Actively Participate on a safety and/or Performance Excellence Pillar Team.
  • Review daily maintenance work completed, complete daily maintenance reports and other reporting as necessary.
  • Full competency in all Maintenance work duties
  • Helps with scheduling of job crews
  • Helps develop, execute and support the maintenance care plans of site equipment
  • Maintains compliance of housekeeping/master sanitation schedule
  • Work in the most effective, efficient and safe manner at all times.
  • Demonstrate ability to act professionally and respect confidentiality.
  • Lead by example adherence to policy and expectations.
  • Utilize and complete Standard Work on a daily basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to act in a professional manner and adhere by ADM's Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, and gloves when required
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet working conditions
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a manufacturing environment
  • Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
  • Good attitude and works well in team atmosphere.
  • Handles other duties as required.
  • Maintain excellent attendance.
