• Follow livestock research protocols and SOPs to conduct successful research projects
• Perform routine procedures, such as feeding, weighing, general husbandry and observation, animal health, and sample collection
• Collection of a variety of samples and data
• Maintain accurate and thorough records
• Proactively communicate study and animal care developments to appropriate team members
• Follow and promote facility safety guidelines
• Maintain physical appearance and operation of facilities
• Perform general housekeeping duties, such as organizing, cleaning and power washing of animal rooms

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Biology or Animal Science preferred, but not required.
• 3-5 years of livestock production (with emphasis on non-ruminant) or animal nutrition research.
• Good working knowledge of animal husbandry and related health/treatment procedures.
• Collaborative team player
• High degree of attention to detail
• Exhibits integrity and trust
• Solid organizational skills
• Effective time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as team working abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and the ability to operate farm equipment.
