The Role: Laboratory Technician
We're seeking an organized, detail-driven Laboratory Technician to join our Milling Team in Midland, Ontario. In this full-time role, you'll work closely with the Quality & Food Safety Manager and plant operators to ensure accurate testing, reporting, and quality standards are upheld. You'll play a key part in supporting product excellence across ADM's supply chain.
What You'll Do
Conduct physical and analytical testing on raw materials and finished products
Record and analyze data for wheat, flour milling, and shipping samples
Maintain accurate and timely logs using appropriate computer software
Collaborate with peers, plant staff, and lab teams to ensure seamless communication
Assist in maintaining and improving quality programs and documentation
Comply with all ADM internal and external quality and food safety procedures
What You Bring
Post-secondary education in food chemistry or a related field
Minimum 4 months of QC lab experience, preferably in a food or milling environment
Experience with AACC methods, HACCP, and food safety standards is an asset
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
Familiarity with standardized industrial testing methods and protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical and reference check
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Must be comfortable working in accordance with EHS and local/provincial regulations
Relocation support is not available for this position
History of working safely and promoting a safety-first culture is strongly preferred
