The Role: Laboratory Technician

We're seeking an organized, detail-driven Laboratory Technician to join our Milling Team in Midland, Ontario. In this full-time role, you'll work closely with the Quality & Food Safety Manager and plant operators to ensure accurate testing, reporting, and quality standards are upheld. You'll play a key part in supporting product excellence across ADM's supply chain.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct physical and analytical testing on raw materials and finished products
  • Record and analyze data for wheat, flour milling, and shipping samples
  • Maintain accurate and timely logs using appropriate computer software
  • Collaborate with peers, plant staff, and lab teams to ensure seamless communication
  • Assist in maintaining and improving quality programs and documentation
  • Comply with all ADM internal and external quality and food safety procedures
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in food chemistry or a related field
  • Minimum 4 months of QC lab experience, preferably in a food or milling environment
  • Experience with AACC methods, HACCP, and food safety standards is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
  • Familiarity with standardized industrial testing methods and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Additional Info
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical and reference check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be comfortable working in accordance with EHS and local/provincial regulations
  • Relocation support is not available for this position
  • History of working safely and promoting a safety-first culture is strongly preferred
