The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Controller in the Global Trade business unit - based in Poznan, Poland. The main purpose of this role is to be a finance professional providing accurate and insightful financial information and to maintain an effective control environment upon ADMs international trade and ocean freight activities.

Responsibilities:

• Support and execute activities related to monthly closing of accounts and financial disclosures in conformity with USGAAP standards and ADM policies

• Review, evaluate and enter monthly accruals

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts for accuracy and reasonability

• Supervise accounting activities from end-to-end

• Liaise with audit teams - both internal and external to ensure successful and timely completion of audit reviews

• Complete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls

• Design offers and practices that lead to process improvement and the achievement of departmental goals

Requirements:

• 1 year + of experience in accounting or controlling

• Bachelor or comparable degree in business administration with emphasis on Controlling, Finance or International Trade

• Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem solving skills

• Good user knowledge in Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Independent mode of can-do-attitude

• Fluent in English - Polish or German would be a bonus

Willingness to work 3 days per week from our Pozna office is a must.
