Your Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen within the ADM Investor Services business for an IT Business Analyst, based in the City of London. The role will report to the Head of ADMISI IT & Global IT Governance, working locally with the business & IT development team and globally as part of the IT Business Services team & Global Clearing Services team. The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and documenting business processes including workflow, requirements, technical specifications and controls. The role will be an integral part of translating business objectives into effective and efficient processes with appropriate controls. The thorough understanding of documentation for business process requirements, procedures and internal controls will be a critical delivery for the position. In addition, the role will deliver clearing system support as required during London business hours.

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
  • Own the process of capturing & documenting stakeholder requirements.
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather their requirements, and document them in a clear format which can be easily understood.
  • Analyse business processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems and opportunities for the business to consider.
  • Work closely with product owners and developers to ensure the best solution design within an agile way of working.
Documentation:
  • Prepare comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, user stories, technical specifications and other relevant documentation.
  • Create and maintain standardised processes and documentation for business requirement gathering.
  • Develop or update internal policy and procedure documents.
  • Work with internal and external audit to review processes and controls, remediating changes as required.
Testing and Validation:
  • Participate in the testing of new systems, processes and controls to ensure that they meet the specified requirements.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of new processes and controls.
  • Support internal and external audit testing and review of processes and controls.
Clearing System Support
  • Working as part of the Global Clearing Services team, provide support as required during London business hours.


Your Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of business analysis experience.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to present to senior management.
  • Solid technical knowledge as well as competencies in business process automation.
  • Proficient in workflow, process and controls document management.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • A good understanding of the SDLC, along with Agile and DevOps methodology.
  • A good understanding of business operations within a FCM/brokerage firm, exchange traded financial instruments and products, and the trade/clearing life cycle.
  • A good understanding of the GMI back office system.
Desirable Skills
  • Good understanding of SQL and familiarity with cloud technologies.
  • Policy, procedure and Internal control system experience.
  • Reasonable experience of Compliance & Regulation including 2 of the below:
    • MiFID II
    • EMIR
    • Financial Reporting e.g. COREP, CASS ICMR.
