Instructional Designer/Content Creator - Chicago, IL

Job Summary: We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Entry-Level Instructional Designer / Content Creator to join our Learning & Development team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of instructional design principles and experience using Articulate tools (Storyline, Rise) to develop engaging eLearning content. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to design, develop, and deliver learning materials that enhance employee skills and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • E-learning Development: Assist in creating interactive e-learning courses using Articulate Storyline, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with learning objectives and Global Content Standards.
  • Content Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts to gather, validate, and organize instructional content for course development.
  • Course Deployment: Support the upload and maintenance of courses and curriculums within the Learning Management System (LMS-SuccessFactors), ensuring smooth access and functionality for learners.
  • Instructional Design Application: Apply foundational instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to structure and sequence course materials effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of e-learning modules across devices and platforms to identify and resolve technical or content-related issues.
  • Content Review & Updates: Review course content regularly and implement revisions based on stakeholder and learner feedback to maintain accuracy and relevance.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain version control and documentation of course development processes and materials aligned with Global Content Management Strategy to ensure organized and up-to-date records.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor/Associates degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 tools (Storyline, Rise) for eLearning development.
  • Basic understanding of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and adult learning principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality learning content.
  • Familiarity with multimedia tools and graphic design is a plus.
