About the Role

We're seeking a Health & Safety Professional to support the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of safety systems and compliance programs at our Windsor, Ontario facility. Working closely with the Plant Manager, Production Managers, Quality Assurance Manager, front-line supervisors, and corporate partners, this role ensures that ADM maintains a safe working environment while meeting internal and external reporting requirements.

The Health & Safety Professional must be detail-oriented, capable of meeting strict deadlines, and able to manage multiple priorities within short turnaround times. This role plays a key part in advancing ADM's safety culture and achieving our goal of "Only Zero Is Acceptable."

What You'll Do

• Champion ADM's "Only Zero Is Acceptable" culture through engagement, leadership, and innovation

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing standards, correcting unsafe behaviors/conditions, and conducting regular inspections

• Assist with incident and accident investigations and follow up on corrective actions

• Promote and lead Near Miss reporting initiatives

• Ensure compliance with provincial and federal legislation

• Support and guide Joint Health and Safety Committee activities

• Collaborate with the EHS Area Manager to implement ADM health and safety programs

• Deliver required training to managers, hourly employees, and contractors

• Ensure consistent compliance with ADM, WSIB, and government regulations

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety, environmental, and compliance programs, records, and reports

• Provide daily updates to management on safety, food safety, and environmental concerns

• Participate in and support client, regulatory, and third-party audits

• Ensure corrective action plans are implemented and completed on schedule

• Work across all levels of the plant, including in extreme temperatures, heights, and confined spaces

• Perform other safety-related tasks as assigned

What You Bring

• Strong computer, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Working knowledge of plant operations and food processing environments

• Ability to walk, climb ladders, use tools, and work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures

• Ability to work both in office settings and industrial environments for extended periods

• Willingness to travel or relocate to other ADM facilities as needed

• Availability for occasional off-hours or weekend work

• Ability to effectively communicate updates and improvement recommendations

Education and Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification

• Certified Fire Protection Specialist designation

• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum five years of experience in a dedicated health and safety position with knowledge of industrial environmental/regulatory compliance

• Must work in accordance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations

• Must comply with all ADM safety and EHS standards
