We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded procurement leader to head our Philippines purchasing function based in Cebu. This role will be responsible for leading country procurement strategy, managing supply and market risk, driving operational excellence, and building a high-performing local team.

As a member of the country leadership team, you will work closely with commercial, planning, formulation, finance, and regional stakeholders to ensure procurement decisions support business growth, competitiveness, and supply continuity.

Your Responsibilities

1. Manage and Define Philippines' Procurement and Risk Coverage Strategy

  • Develop and execute the Philippines procurement strategy aligned with business priorities and regional direction.
  • Lead sourcing strategies for key raw materials to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and effective risk management.
  • Maintain strong understanding of local and global raw material supply-demand dynamics, market trends, and price movements.
  • Drive demand forecasting alignment with internal stakeholders to support timely purchasing decisions.
  • Optimize supplier portfolio performance through strategic supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management.
  • Ensure procurement decisions meet quality specifications, commercial objectives, and working capital targets.
  • Identify alternative suppliers, materials, and sourcing opportunities to strengthen supply resilience.
  • Provide market insights to commercial leaders and country management to support pricing and margin decisions.


2. Contribute to the Optimization of Regional/Country Processes

  • Partner with commercial, supply planning, and formulation teams to improve responsiveness to market changes, raw material supply and demand fluctuations.
  • Drive process improvements across purchasing, planning, execution, and contract management activities.
  • Implement effective reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics for the procurement function.
  • Develop and manage the annual procurement budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, policies, and quality requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and stronger cross-functional collaboration.


3. Management of Employees

  • Lead, coach, and develop the local procurement team across Purchasing, Planning, Execution, and Contracts functions.
  • Define team structure, responsibilities, and clear performance expectations.
  • Establish short- and long-term goals, KPIs, and development plans for team members.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate business priorities and company strategy clearly to ensure alignment and engagement across the team.


Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years' experience in procurement, sourcing or commodity purchasing, with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural raw materials, commodity markets, or manufacturing supply chains.
  • Proven success in supplier negotiations, sourcing strategy, and cost optimization.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market trends into actionable decisions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to be based in Cebu, Philippines.
