Join the Global Ocean Freight (GOF) team to lead the commercial management of ADM's dry bulk operations in the Pacific, across Panamax to Handy/Supramax segments. Based in Singapore, you will support global freight trading, oversee internal pricing, and manage a team of 2 - 4. Reporting to the Director of Global Ocean Freight, your key responsibilities include:
Provide leadership as a core GOF team member, partnering with local and global stakeholders to execute global freight strategies.
Conduct market analysis for Panamax, Handysize, and Supramax segments, with a strong focus on Panamax dynamics, to guide decision-making at regional and global levels
Develop and execute global trading strategies aligned with ADM's commercial objectives and risk framework.
Strengthen relationships with customers, vessel owners, and market partners to boost ADM's market position.
Oversee freight positions and vessel chartering across time, period, and voyage charters for commercial and operational efficiency.
Provide timely market insights to support agile decision-making.
Collaborate with commercial teams to forecast freight needs, manage exposure, and uncover growth opportunities.
Work with operations to improve execution and service delivery standards.
Deliver strategic freight solutions to optimize internal and external cargo flows, ensuring cost-efficiency and service excellence.
Leverage internal flows to enhance risk-taking while maintaining operational discipline.
Represent ADM at key market events, forums, and industry meetings to stay abreast of trends and stakeholder expectations.
Drive a high-performance team culture by mentoring talent, fostering collaboration, and promoting ADM's "We are One ADM" values.
Your Profile
A firm understanding of the dry bulk ocean freight market, the corresponding indices, trade lanes, relevant terms and contracts
Managerial experience prefered, but not a must.
A strong experience in Panamax or Supramax
Team player with a strong sense of urgency to help others grow
Values honesty and open to changes.
The motivation to take active part of developing ADM freight
At least 7-10 years experience in dry bulk chartering
Works well within a dynamic group environment
Critical thinker with proven track record of problem solving
Strong communicator with experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Able to cultivate and grow strong and beneficial business relationships
A positive attitude and continuous improvement of skillsets
