Job Description:

This person is pivotal in driving market-back innovation, product execution, and lifecycle management. The role entails building and executing short and long-term product strategy via internal innovation and inorganic growth

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Market-Back Innovation: Identify consumer needs and portfolio gaps within the probiotics and fibers space, leverage emerging microbiome technologies, develop compelling business cases, and set value price targets.
  • Manage Product Lifecycle: Align product strategies with overall Health & Wellness objectives, develop and oversee the product roadmap, monitor financial performance, and streamline the product portfolio.
  • Create External Partnerships: Gather competitive intelligence on microbiome innovations, scout new microbiome technologies, build and protect intellectual property, and explore strategic partnerships.
  • Lead Product Execution: Manage approved microbiome projects, establish timelines and KPIs, ensure launch readiness, and support post-launch sales efforts.
  • Communicate Effectively: Translate complex microbiome-related technical information into layman's terms for broader understanding.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years in product management or related roles within the microbiome or related health and wellness sector.
  • Ideally the candidate will have probiotic and fibers specific experience and experience developing these ingredients for dietary supplements, food, beverage, and pet.
  • Can demonstrate understanding of microbiome science and product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from concept to commercialization across multiple functions and stakeholders, including establishing timelines, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to align product strategy with overall Health & Wellness objectives and develop comprehensive product roadmaps.
  • Experience in monitoring financial performance and ROI for microbiome product portfolios.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining industry partnerships, scouting new microbiome technologies, and exploring make vs. buy alternatives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to microbiome products, including safety assessments and compliance.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex microbiome-related technical information into layman's terms for broader understanding and effectively communicate project status to leadership.
  • Strong background in driving market-back innovation by identifying consumer needs, leveraging emerging microbiome technologies, and developing compelling business cases.
  • Experience in building and protecting intellectual property within the microbiome industry.
  • Experience working in and across global teams
