Global Process Owner - Master Data Management - Decatur, IL or Erlanger, KY
This is an exempt level position.
Position Summary:
The Master Data Management (MDM) Global Process Owner is responsible for driving the enterprise process strategy and performance globally for enterprise shared master data (Customer, Supplier, Material/Product, Location, and key reference data)
This is accomplished by shaping the vision for master data management and data governance in conjunction with key stakeholders and socializing it for acceptance and alignment. Additionally, the MDM global process owner will prioritize and champion the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the enterprise process strategy for master data.. This position must comprehend business objectives, challenges, strategic direction, and technologies by working with stakeholders and other resources, documenting process and driving change management. This position will report to VP for Data and Analytics in Global Technology.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with functional and business leadership, including executive global process owner and overall accountable executive for the area, to define process strategy and connect to execution
Champion and advocate for adoption of the enterprise process strategy for master data
Responsible for the prioritization and leadership of process improvement needs as aligned with enterprise and Business Unit commercial strategies.
Lead efforts to monitor, measure, and report process performance results to drive delivery of overall business performance
Determine the Process performance KPI's for process area
Ensure defined processes fulfill necessary control requirements
Responsible to ensure the organization embraces and uses the new process/tools as designed utilizing the proper organizational change management
Establish and lead a Process Advisory Group comprised of key master data management and data governance stakeholders for the purpose of understanding process gaps, identifying needed improvements, and driving implementation of change.
Foster and develop a group of sub-process owners to support the development of process strategy, implementing continuous improvements, and driving change
Learn and become proficient in ADM's organization, business areas, and functions
Seek and build relationships through assignments on individual efforts to enhance delivery and to better understand, identify, and work through issues across efforts
Responsible for maintaining skills within master data management and data governance that will allow for proactive assessment of effort needs and completing deliverables
Drive innovation and strategic change within the master data management and data governance process area
Understand and adhere to policies and procedures, working with teams and team members to ensure adherence to individual efforts
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Prior process design experience helpful, including Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen experience
Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent work streams, documenting processes, and leveraging best-suited methodologies and practices.
10+ years of business/technology work experience including master data management and data governance
Strong knowledge of Master Data Management concepts and data governance best practices
Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to make complex ideas simple and easy to use
Ability to assist others in understanding new processes, and influencing them to try new ways of doing business
Proficient in agile delivery and full software development lifecycle methodologies
Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, handle multiple tasks and react quickly to problems and issues.
