Procurement Global Data & Analytics Specialist - Decatur, IL

This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary:

Global Procurement is looking for a highly motivated Global Data & Analytics Specialist to join the team. This key role within Procurement will lead efforts to develop data insights across all categories of spend managed by the Global Procurement team as well as performance metrics and advanced analytics for the Source-to-Pay Process.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with Procurement and Business Unit stakeholders to leverage company and external data to generate insights that drive and support organizational strategy and agility
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of current and new internal data sources - work with the Global Process Owner for Source-to-Pay to highlight "gaps" in the process to achieve higher quality data and Source-to-Pay effectiveness and efficiency
  • Analyze and interpret procurement related data from internal and external data sources and develop recommendations based on findings
  • Gather requirements and build data driven solutions to solve Procurement problems using a suite of data tools (Databases, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Apps, etc.)
  • Build and maintain processes/procedures that support data solutions that Procurement consumes
  • Build reports that effectively allow the sourcing team to develop market baskets
  • Apply the "Procurement lens" to data - (i.e. categories and Procurement specific attributes)
  • Design and develop top notch data-driven reports, dashboards, and visualizations on the Microsoft Power BI platform
  • Creates, maintains, and ensures quality of key procurement data sets, reports, and metrics
  • Generate scorecard metrics and top down reporting for senior Procurement leadership and BU stakeholders
  • Work with IT to onboard new data sets (i.e. M&A, new applications, etc.)
Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant job experience required
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Strong skills with database languages (SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Skilled with data visualization tools and coding syntax used by them (i.e. Power BI & DAX/M)
  • Strong understanding of how Databases and Data Models work
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner - effective "storytelling"
  • General knowledge of ADM's business units and ADM's systems
  • Ability to work in a quickly changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Create a positive work environment through teamwork & conflict resolution
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and work on a wide variety of projects
  • Project management experience a plus
