GIS Specialist is responsible to provide and ensuring availability and quality of Geographic Information System data to support our responsible sourcing program, support decision-making, sustainability initiatives, and operations goals by using GIS expertise, analyzing data, & show commitment to responsible sourcing practices.
Your Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain geospatial databases to ensure accessibility and usability across teams
Process, clean, and format datasets for integration into GIS platforms
Develop data set and documentation for sourced data to ensure transparency and traceability
Perform geospatial analysis to support responsible sourcing initiatives, such as supply chain mapping, environmental impact assessments, and risk analysis
Generate reports, maps, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
Support decision-making by providing actionable insights derived from GIS data
Ensure sourced data aligns with the organization's sustainability goals and ethical sourcing standards
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in GIS and responsible sourcing
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sustainability, operations, logistics, and planning) to understand data needs and requirements
Collaborate with external vendors and partners
Provide technical support and training to team members on GIS data usage
Your Profile:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Geography, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or related field
Have 2-5 years of job-related experiences working with GIS software and geospatial data management
Experience with implementation of programs like EUDR, Deforestation free supply chain, monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV), supplier engagement, trainings
Experience with supply chain mapping or logistics-related GIS applications
Have good Knowledge on agriculture commodity sourcing , sustainability frameworks and responsible sourcing practices
Familiar with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL) and geospatial data formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, raster, vector)
Understand programing language such as Phyton, JavaScript and knowledge of GEE environment
Understanding of remote sensing and satellite imagery
Have Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication both in English & Bahasa
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Certification in GIS (e.g., GISP, Esri Technical Certification) would be an advantage
