An opportunity has arisen for an independent Financial Controller Global Trade - based in Poznan, Poland. The main purpose of this role is to be a finance professional providing accurate and insightful financial and management information and to maintain an effective control environment within Global Trade operations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely completion of the respective gross margin reports with the collaboration of internal business partners
Perform, review and analyze the monthly mark-to-market evaluation of commodity contracts
Capability to understand and apply to US GAAP accounting standards and ADM policies, by completing monthly account work related to fair value measurement (ASC820 / FAS157), inventory valuation (LOCOM / MTM), foreign currency, and intercompany reconciliations
Complete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls
Work with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial results
Liaise with audit teams - both internal and external to ensure successful and timely completion of audit reviews
Design offers and practices that lead to process improvement and the achievement of departmental goals
Requirements:
Bachelor or comparable degree in business administration with an emphasis on Controlling, Finance or International Trade
2 + years of experience in finance/accounting
Advanced English (B2+)
Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem-solving skills
Excellent user knowledge of Microsoft Office
Independent mode of can-do-attitude
Excellent and effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to meet demanding deadlines and adapt quickly to changing business needs
Willingness to work 3 days per week from our Pozna office
