We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Economist / Engineer to join our Execution / Logistics Department.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics or a Technical field (Economic Engineering is a strong advantage).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the agricultural/grain sector.
  • Computer Skills: Solid proficiency in PC operation (MS Office - advanced Excel).
  • Languages: English - intermediate to advanced level.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Results-oriented with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Position Type: Fixed-term contract
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day
Responsibilities:

  • Execute and monitor the progress of grain operation contracts within the company's terminals, related documentation, and associated service contracts.
  • Generate and centrally issue periodic and month-end reports for merchandise turnover and stock levels to clients in company terminals and subcontractors.
  • Prepare stock reports, handle invoicing, and provide customer service, continuously seeking to optimize these processes.
  • Develop estimates and report various merchandise turnover situations as per internal/external requests.
  • Operate the IT application for the operational tracking of grains in Constana Port and Constana South Port (Agigea) - managing goods receipts/deliveries on vessels, trucks, and barges, importing wagons, barges, containers, and verifying stock levels.
  • Collaborate with teams in Constana and Bucharest to optimize and automate workflows and processes, aiming to minimize losses and inefficiencies.
  • Calculate merchandise storage fees per client and issue expense reconciliations that include the turnover of all grains through the Constana Port and Constana South Port Agigea terminals.
  • Oversee activities in collaboration with personnel (Surveyors) for merchandise traceability.
  • Ensure the issuance of merchandise documents according to internal procedures and/or client requests, such as Merchandise Inventory Reports, Warehouse Certificates for property transfer from one client to another (including verification of transport means and delivery conditions), and Management Justification Acts at the end of each merchandise batch.
  • Collect supporting documents for operations (inflows/outflows via various transport means: trucks, wagons, barges, vessels) from the Customs Department.
  • Verify invoices for operational services, such as those from Surveyors, and various merchandise operation and conditioning services: weighing, grain drying.
  • Process invoices in the IT system.
  • Provide support, propose improvements, and assist in the development and implementation of the IT program for the operational execution of merchandise flows, including recording incoming/outgoing transport means, stock levels, and vessel reports.
