Execution & Logistics Specialist manages assigned vessels to flawless execution, meeting deadlines and proactively resolving potential issues. Fully understand the commercial contracts assigned as well as GAFTA, vessel charter parties contractual obligations, etc. Along with that, timely identifies the services to be contracted during the execution of contracts such as surveyors, agents/forwarders etc and proactively resolves issues as they arise and escalate to managers, as needed.
Key Accountabilities
Verify data related to stock inventory, warehouse transfers, loading orders, quality, claims, demurrage, and dispatch cases.
Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders such as freight providers, customers, clients, suppliers, and other business partners, including collaborating with other trade execution teams.
Follow up on new contracts with customers, and paying attention to matters such as quality, quantity, origin, delivery timelines, payments, and pricing.
Work closely with external authorities, agents at load/unload ports, supervision companies, and other service providers to oversee shipments and ensure proper customer clearance documentation.
Ensure compliance with both domestic and international laws and customs regulations.
Monitor contracts and daily shipment execution plans, track voyages, and manage loading and discharging operations.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with complex accounts, customers, suppliers, and other business partners, including ensuring proper management of import/export documentation.
Independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more intricate matters to the appropriate staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification criteria:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience degree such as: economics, business administration; logistics/transport/maritime studies; food industry; etc.
Minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience in execution and logistics
Experience in Agricultural commodity trade/execution processes
Excellent English language skills
Computer skills - work with ERP systems
