An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician in Corby, UK. The main purpose of this role is to provide electro-mechanical cover for our mill and packing lines that produces and delivers wheat flour over a twenty-four hour period, seven days per week.
Your Responsibilities
Working within the Company Safety and Health guidelines.
Maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment within the plant so that it is capable of working at optimum performance.
Investigating and undertaking electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs and fault finding within the plant.
Ensuring food safety compliance requirements are met within the plant.
Developing and executing small projects within the Plant environment.
To be able to spec and order replacement parts for the Plant equipment.
To issue permits and control on site contractors.
RCA and continuous improvement.
Completing and improving planned maintenance tasks.
Working within in a team to fulfil engineering objectives to improve plant performance.
Your Profile
The candidate Must trained to City and Guilds or equivalent, or be a qualified time served multi skilled engineer.
Must be competent in working with voltages of up to 415.
Must be computer literate with various Microsoft packages.
Knowledge of PLCs would be advantageous.
Fabricating and welding experience would be advantageous.
City and Guilds 18th edition (or equivalent).
A good level of electrical and mechanical skills together with a level of competence in process control engineering.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Ability to work to the highest standards of safety within a team environment or working alone.
