About the Role

As a Second Class Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of plant utility systems, including power generation and steam systems. Working in a highly automated environment, you will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting production needs and maintaining compliance with regulatory and ADM standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate two (2) 4.95 MW solar generators with duct burners and HRSGs
  • Operate and monitor automated and computerized control systems
  • Inspect and monitor boilers, compressors, sand filters, deaerators, and auxiliary equipment
  • Monitor plant equipment including valves, gauges, alarms, meters, and instrumentation to ensure safe and normal operation
  • Detect equipment malfunctions, leaks, or abnormal operating conditions and take corrective action
  • Analyze, record, and trend instrument readings and operational data
  • Perform adjustments and minor repairs as required
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating pumps and compressors using appropriate tools and lubricants
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities
  • Manage inventory of boiler room and utility-related parts
  • Perform water testing for DAF chemicals
  • Assist in the development and improvement of operating, maintenance, and safety procedures

Education and Experience
  • Completion of college, CEGEP, vocational, or technical training
  • TSSA Second Class Steam Engineer certification required
    • Candidates holding a Third Class certification with progression toward Second Class will be considered
  • Experience with combined heat and power (CHP) systems is considered an asset


Additional Requirements
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and reference checks
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as required
  • Commitment to ADM's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
