DNA Data Scientist, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Erlanger, KY.

Use large data sets to find opportunities for manufacturing and process optimization and use models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Utilize a variety of data mining and analysis methods, tools, models, algorithms, and simulations to build, implement, and run comprehensive data-driven solutions. Drive business results with data-based insights. Discover solutions hidden in large data sets and work with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. Use advanced mathematical models, operations research techniques, and simulation to deliver insights, recommendations, and solutions to address manufacturing and business challenges. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets. Manage individual analyses and provide clear communications of findings and recommendations. Structure analyses and develop insights. Organize materials to facilitate reviews, quality checks, and presentation of findings and present findings to leadership.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:

• Performing data mining, data analytics, and predictive modeling initiatives using Python, SAS, SPSS, R, or an equivalent analytics package;

• Solving analytical problems involving big data sets using quantitative approaches to generate insights from data;

• Variety of machine learning techniques, such as clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, and their real-world advantages/drawbacks; and

• Advanced statistical techniques and concepts, such as regression, properties of distributions, statistical testing, and proper usage, and experience with their applications.

Telecommuting permitted up to one (1) day per week.
