MAIN FUNCTION: This position is responsible for leading and optimizing our supply chain operations for the NA Flavors logistics, planning and supply network. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and information to best execute the company's goals while maintaining cost-efficiency and service excellence. This individual will report to the End to End Leader for NA Flavors

This role is responsible for the supply chain activities related to demand planning, scheduling, logistics, commercialization, and the warehouse network execution. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of supply chain strategies while maintaining compliance and minimizing risk through effective commercial and vendor management. In addition to the NA Flavors supply chain responsibilities, this position will seek synergies across different business units by developing, fostering, and spreading best practices through the broader ADM network.

This role will take a leadership position in addressing any challenges related to meeting customer order expectations and mentoring all teams involved. The position will work cross functionally with the commercial and development teams to ensure their customer related and product development initiatives are properly aligned and executed through the value chain.

The position is responsible for facilitating, fostering and enhancing the S&OP process for the region while acting as an subject matter expert for the broader ADM businesses. This role is responsible for fostering and developing a leadership team to ensure that all customer requirements are met through efficient, cost effective supply chain execution. As a senior member of the end-to-end value chain team, this individual requires a broad functional understanding of our processes, systems, and production capabilities.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Promotes and provides leadership around ADM's EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) policies and procedures;
  • All-encompassing, functional understanding of roles, interconnected processes, systems, and production capabilities within the value chain
  • Facilitate the S&OP processes across the NA network, driving process maturity in all operations with the objective of achieving excellent customer service
  • Maintain understanding of all regulatory applicable regulations and customer requirements that influence our materials, production processes, and transportation requirements;
  • Champion cross functional projects and initiatives to support business execution and future growth;
  • Lead efforts to adapt business practices and processes to align with our customer's evolving needs;
  • Work closely with senior leaders across the business unit to ensure all leadership and teams are aligned on business direction and project prioritization;
  • Actively gather and share best practices across flavor production sites and other business units across ADM;
  • Represent the ADM supply chain in face to face interactions with key customers;
  • Foster an environment of curiosity and continuous learning;
  • Maintain an understanding of regional, domestic, and international logistics;
  • Responsible for the 3PL network supporting the sites across the region;
  • Maintain a robust understanding of the raw material and product portfolios and how it impacts our daily business;
  • Acts as a key resource for training, development, and mentorship of teams and individuals;
  • Sets strategic direction for supply chain training and leadership growth;
  • Proficient understanding of all information systems and process connected to the supply chain;
  • Understands and has strict adherence to corporate compliance policies & safety systems & programs;
  • Ensures that individual and team goals are aligned with that of the company's big rocks;
  • Works to create and attain positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions & responsibilities in order to create an effective, collaborative working environment;
  • Ability to make the strategic decision by assessing all relevant variables and clearly communicating to all stakeholders;
  • Lead teams responsible for the collection, evaluation, and validation of customer demand data and integrating into our processes;
  • Effectively use communication channels for proper coordination within the office & other locations;
  • Portrays a positive image of the company and self when interacting with customers, colleagues, and all external contacts;
  • Is willing to work outside normal business hours including weekends;
  • Travel requirement domestically up to 20%
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Four year university degree in supply chain or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • MBA preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Individual must be committed to corporate ethics policies & safety programs.
