You will own the demand planning process, champion best practices, and ensure that demand signals translate into actionable supply chain strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve forecast KPIs (MAPE, Bias, FVA) through structured root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Perform advanced demand segmentation (ABC/XYZ), scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Translate demand scenarios into monetized outcomes with Finance (impact on revenue, margin, and working capital).
S&OP Leadership
  • Lead all key S&OP Review meetings with senior leaders; prepare executive-ready materials and drive consensus on the unconstrained demand signal.
  • Ensure seamless handoff from Demand Review to Supply Review; escalate risks and trade-offs for decision-making.
  • Act as the S&OP process owner for North American Deerland sites, ensuring governance, cadence, and data integrity.
Cross-Functional Integration
  • Partner with Sales/Commercial to capture reliable demand signals and manage key customer forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Supply, Production, and Procurement to resolve supply-demand imbalances and mitigate risks.
  • Understand production capabilities and constraints to ensure feasible plans and clear trade-off communication.
Process & Capability Building
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, master data quality, and S&OP maturity.
  • Develop and standardize planning playbooks, KPIs, and governance models.
  • Coach and mentor peers and stakeholders on demand planning best practices and S&OP principles.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or Engineering preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years in supply chain or operations, with significant experience in demand planning and S&OP leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead meetings with senior executives, influence decisions, and manage conflict constructively.
  • Expertise in:
    • Statistical forecasting and advanced planning techniques.
    • End-to-end S&OP/S&OE processes and governance.
    • Data modeling, scenario planning, and financial impact analysis.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills for executive audiences.
Skills & Tools
  • Advanced Excel; experience with Power BI/Tableau, SQL, and planning systems (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, etc.).
  • Ability to simplify complex analytics into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
Leadership Behaviors
  • "We help each other thrive":
    • Provide support and training across business functions related to the Consensus Demand Planning process, including the link to the S&OP and S&OE processes
    • Demonstrate Customer focus (internal and external as needed)
  • " We create the environment for diversity, equity and inclusion to strengthen us":
    • Demonstrate cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Ability to listen intently and make room for different points of view to influence decisions
What Success Looks Like
  • Forecast KPIs (MAPE, Bias, FVA) show sustained improvement.
  • Demand Review meetings are strategic, decision-oriented, and trusted by senior leadership.
  • S&OP process maturity improves with clear governance and accountability.
