Data Readiness Analyst II - Erlanger, KY (On-site)

Position Summary
Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) is driving a transformative Digital journey with SAP at its core, where data is the foundation of success. We are seeking a skilled Data Readiness Analyst II to elevate our data readiness initiatives. This role will execute and enhance our Data Readiness playbook, collaborating across teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with SAP S/4HANA business processes. The ideal candidate will excel in understanding SAP data structures, facilitating cross-functional discussions, and overseeing functional data migration and data quality initiatives utilizing SAP HANA and SAP Information Steward.
Job Responsibilities
Data Migration and Functional Expertise
Partner with Solution Delivery and Data Readiness teams to ensure data design and implementation align with business requirements.
Oversee functional data migration activities to SAP S/4HANA, collaborating with Data Developers who utilize SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) to design and execute extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) workflows.
Work closely with business stakeholders, Data Developers, and the Solution Delivery team to define transformation and mapping rules for BODS, ensuring alignment with the Target System Data Definition and Functional Design for SAP S/4HANA conversions.
Review and validate BODS jobs developed by Data Developers for data cleansing, enrichment, and validation, ensuring seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and compliance with Solution Delivery's functional design.
Create and maintain validation scripts to be used during mock conversion cycles, ensuring accurate and consistent data validation across source and target systems for SAP S/4HANA migrations.
Collaborate with Data Cleansers and business stakeholders to ensure data requiring construction is completed and approved by the business prior to the start of mock conversion cycles.
Use SAP HANA for data modeling, staging, and validation to align with functional business objectives during migration, adhering to the Solution Delivery team's target system specifications.
Coordinate pre- and post-load data validation, leveraging validation scripts, securing approvals, documenting results and defects for SAP S/4HANA go-live.
Develop and document functional data migration plan, validation scripts, and data construction plans to support successful cutover, in collaboration with Data Developers, Data Cleansers, and the Solution Delivery team.
Actively engage Business data validators/approvers, systems analysts, data readiness functional analysts, and related work streams to assure data is validated and "fit for purpose."
Data Quality Expertise
Oversee data quality initiatives using SAP Information Steward to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source systems and SAP S/4HANA.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and the dedicated data cleansing team to define functional data quality rules and metrics in SAP Information Steward, ensuring alignment with business processes and reporting needs.
Guide and support the data cleansing team by providing clear data requirements, context, and business rules to ensure they understand the data structures and quality expectations for SAP S/4HANA.
Monitor the progress of data cleansing activities, using SAP Information Steward to track data quality metrics, identify gaps, and ensure cleansing aligns with project timelines.
Leverage SAP HANA to validate and monitor data quality, ensuring compliance with business requirements and data governance standards.
Coordinate data quality assessments, working with the data cleansing team and business users to review outcomes, document findings, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
Develop and maintain data quality documentation, including rule definitions, monitoring reports, and progress updates, to support SAP S/4HANA implementation and ongoing operations.
Proactively collaborate with business users, the data cleansing team, Data Developers, and the Solution Delivery team to maintain data quality in source systems, ensuring readiness for migration.
Log, document, and resolve Data Quality and Data Migration defects, ensuring timely resolution.
Properly document all requirements for Risks and Controls/SOX compliance fulfillment.
Participate in Data Readiness team training and team-building activities to foster collaboration.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst and/or Business Analyst.
4+ years of experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, or SAP Certification combined with 3+ year of SAP experience.
Data Migration and Quality Experience
Hands-on experience in data migration projects targeting SAP S/4HANA.
Functional experience with Data Migration processes, collaborating with Data Developers and the Solution Delivery team to define ETL requirements for business-driven data migration.
Experience in creating and maintaining validation scripts for data migration, particularly for mock conversion cycles in SAP S/4HANA projects.
Experience in coordinating with Data Cleansers and business stakeholders to ensure constructed data is completed and approved prior to mock conversion cycles.
Ability to work with business teams, Data Developers, and the Solution Delivery team to define BODS transformation rules, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4HANA functional design and target system definitions.
Hands-on experience with SAP Information Steward or other Data Quality tools for defining data quality rules, monitoring data quality, and overseeing data cleansing activities to support SAP S/4HANA implementations.
Knowledge of SAP HANA for data modeling, staging, validation, and quality monitoring in migration and data quality projects.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders, including Data Developers, Data Cleansers, the Solution Delivery team, and business teams.
Strong facilitation skills to lead cross-functional discussions and guide data migration, data construction, and cleansing efforts.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within global teams.
Excellent analytical, organizational, time management, and process leadership skills.
Commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or varied shifts to meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel (10%) to achieve business objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Teams.
