The Country Feed Additive & Specialty Manager is responsible for managing and developing the feed additive and specialty business to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. This includes designing, developing, and executing marketing strategies, managing strategic key accounts, and overseeing advertising and promotional activities.

Your Responsibilities
  • Formulate and execute commercial strategies to achieve agreed sales, margin, and market share objectives.
  • Manage costs according to approved targets, and structure resources, people, and expenses to deliver marketing and sales results within budget.
  • Detail and implement the strategic roadmap and major projects to drive significant business growth.
  • Manage, motivate, train, and evaluate distributors/agents, including the selection, screening, and appointment of new distributors.
  • Visit customers and prospects, negotiate prices, prepare quotations, and take budget responsibility for sales volume and margins in assigned markets.
  • Implement the Annual Marketing Plan and Distributor Business Plan.
  • Manage a selected number of key accounts directly, with support from Product and Technical Managers.
  • Take marketing responsibility for product positioning, including pricing recommendations, and define strategic focus areas for product development in the region.
  • Gather in-depth intelligence on market conditions and competitor activity, develop marketing strategies and plans, and provide market data for top-line budget reviews.
  • Oversee and participate in training programs for staff and customers, including training sessions, seminars, mailings, and conferences.
  • Manage product launches and oversee ongoing product management activities.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the livestock industry.
  • Strong technical and professional knowledge in animal health and nutrition, with relevant field experience.
  • A collaborative team player with strong business acumen.
  • Proven skills in marketing and sales.
  • Deep understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities using research tools and to engage in technical and operational discussions on animal production and scientific data collection.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across email, phone, presentations, and meetings.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to generate ideas and practical solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and project management skills.
