Commercial Quality Specialist - Erlanger, KY

This is a salaried, exempt-level position.

Position Summary:

The Commercial Quality Specialist is a technical position within the Quality organization, and reports to the Key Account Commercial Quality Manager for Flavors North America. This role will provide technical support and leadership for various project initiatives and process improvements within ADM Wild Flavors Business Unit.

Primary Position Functions:
  • Contribute to cross-functional organization of new product launches, validation projects, and formula transfers
  • Develop a thorough understanding of product lifecycle steps
  • Evaluate existing processes using scientific principles to facilitate improvement while ensuring alignment to QFS principles
  • Execute and document process studies in an active manufacturing environment.
  • Actively contributes to plant efforts to support operations through critical process thinking and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with regional and plant quality leaders, operation leaders, and supply chain leaders in all aspects of service and product complaint management
  • Investigate manufacturing failures for true root cause and advise on potential mitigations.
  • Remain current with industry trends, technology, and best practices as applicable.
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, food science, or related field or equivalent 5 yrs experience in a Food Manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments principles
  • Ability to decipher, aggregate, and organize data, while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision: effectively plan, organize and execute own activities.
  • Willing and able to spend time in plant as needed to understand manufacturing processes, execute studies and conduct verification activities.
