Internship Program Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Pursuing a four-year degree with an expected graduation between December 2026 and Summer 2028. Must have an overall 2.8GPA (change if you need to)
  • Transportation: Interns must have their own reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Geographical Flexibility: Willing to relocate to one of our ADM locations in North America.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Availability: Must be available for a summer internship from mid-May to early August 2026.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role

About the Position

As an Account Manager intern, you will have the opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom in an environment that includes grain origination sales and risk management. You will have exposure to the expansive ADM network of resources and a leadership team that is committed to giving you the best possible environment to learn and grow. Throughout the internship, you will be fully immersed in our team that is responsible for developing long-term producer relationships to secure supply chains critical to sustainably feed the worlds growing population. Your primary experience will involve farm direct grain origination to ADM assets, strategy, and growth of a territory.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Gain hands-on experience working on valuable tasks within our origination teams, and engaging with grain producers over the phone and in-person
  • Complete and present a project that is identified by the local team that will benefit ADM's customer engagement of market position
  • Contribute to regional and overall grain origination objectives and initiatives
  • Develop a working knowledge of the customer and local market dynamics in your territory. This may include how local markets might provide selling opportunities, how tailored risk management solutions might meet specific marketing goals for the producer
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within ADM's portfolio to benefit the producer
  • Network to attain positive, collaborative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions
  • Engage with accounting and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate accounting and contract management
  • Effectively communicate competitive advantages and vulnerabilities to further the development and success of ADM to key internal stakeholders
