• Basic collection activities (contacting customers regarding past due receivables, maintaining notes and comments, researching past due items)
  
  

• Negotiate basic payment plans with customers
  
  

• Identify and research disputes and deductions - work with appropriate ADM teams to confirm and resolve open items for customers
  
  

• Active presentations and participation in meetings with commercial and sales teams, customers, and credit managers
  
  Creation of basic reports regarding overdue receivables
  
  

• Analysis of reports and dashboards to identify key focus areas and customers
  
  

• Identify creative solutions to problems that are causing past dues or preventing customers from paying their invoices
  
  

• Clear understanding of ADM's business, internal credit and collection processes, and overall end to end impacts of actions on other ADM teams
  
  

• Ability to understand and apply ADM policies to daily work
  
  

• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing priorities
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting is a plus (preferably male)
  
  

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and all levels of the ADM organization
  
  

• Ability to function in a challenging environment with multiple changing and competing priorities while meeting time sensitive deadlines
  
  

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to formulate effective solutions
  
  

• Experience with or knowledge of systems used by ADM is a plus
  
  
• Microsoft Office experience preferred (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access queries, etc)
  
  
• GetPaid, IBM, JD Edwards, Agris, etc
  
  
• Dependable and desire to learn with a positive attitude
  
  
• Work experience in collection areas beyond Animal Nutrition that could be beneficial.
