Buying Point Manager, Seminole, Texas
ADM Golden Peanut and Tree Nuts
This is a full time, exempt position.


Job Responsibilities

· Organize, schedule and handle farmerstock peanuts through the facility.
· Solicit and encourage Golden Peanut Company services in the local market area while maintaining an awareness of the competition.
· Hire, staff and train qualified employees.
· Perform pre-season and post-season maintenance.
· Market peanut seed.
· Negotiate contracts and contract proposals between producers and Golden Peanut Company within the direction of region or area procurement management.
· Monitor and control pests and weeds.
· Minimize net weight and dollar value shrinkage.
· Maintain liaison with the Procurement Manager to keep abreast of managerial responsibilities and changes affecting producer sales and/or services.
· Monitor bailouts to ensure that they are handled effectively.
· Monitor and improve all quality aspects of farmer stock peanuts including drying, cleaning, handling, storing and loading out to meet the needs of the final customer.
· Assist in crop reporting.
· Instruct and monitor employees on adhering to all required safety procedures and guidelines.
· Monitor Federal State inspection service activities to insure accurate valuation of farmer stock at the time of acquisition.
· Promote Golden Peanut Company's services in your local community.


Job Requirements

· Two to five years of management experience supervising other employees
· An ability to market Golden's goods and services
· Communication skills
· Decision making and problem solving skills
· Ability to delegate
· Basic mechanical and electrical skills
· An ability to remain calm under pressure
· An ability to lead, direct and motivate employees.
· Public relations skills
· Degree in Business, Agriculture or related field preferred
· Computer and Office Skills
